WGN-HD

WGN is working on their HD signal at this moment. Right now, its intermittent, though. WSCR & WBBM aren't using HD at this time. I wonder if this is to work on the digital sideband issues of the 3 stations so close together.
______________

Was in Indiana yesterday..may be quite a mess when WLW fires theirs up. Forget about EVER Dxing anything on 710!
______________

I thought that WLW already had theirs going!

WGNs audio in HD is far superior than WSCRs or WBBMs.

Also here near Milwaukee I was able to get WLW (weakly) even with WGN running HD. Likewise I was able to get WJR from Detroit.

Though WLW installed a new digital transmitter about a month ago, they have yet to fire up IBOC. WGN pretty much covered up Jimmy Swaggart's WJYM in Bowling Green, OH on 730 in Frankfort, IN (although certainly they don't have listeners there).
______________
