WGN: Nick D to Days

I don't see that happening. I think he does a great job at night and as a fill in for Steve and Johnny. He is a better fill in than a lot of them. I could be wrong, but they might give him a shot. I would imagine Nick has quite a followong at night.

I wouldn't rule it out. Nick often fills in for Kathy and Judy....in fact, he was on for several days during Thanksgiving week. Without the Cubs, WGN has dropped to 7th in the just-released Arbitrons and they desperately need younger listeners, which Nick delivers.

Please put Nick on daily. Granted I wouldn't be able to listen to him online during mid-days, but he deserves it.

Nick was on during the day today, surprisingly he said he liked the during light time slot. I think he said he would be on again tomorrow 1 pm-4 pm.

I wish Nick would get a daytime slot too, don't see how anyone can take Roe Conn. I prefer Mark Belling, Nick D could lure me away tho I would probably just preset jump back and forth.

I hope Nick gets it.

If not, Dan Deibert sounded good on Wed-Fri.

The thing about Nick (well, both of them really), is that he can draw in those younger listeners.

I did not really like Dan Dieber when he was on the air in Milwaukee in his role as right wing wacko on a left wing wacko Vs. right wing wacko morning show. Now that he isn't acting so whacked out I find his shows to be better. Nick and Dan almost sound the and act the same so I guess its a draw. They are very opposite on politics I believe but it seems like neither really talk much pro or anti politics on WGN.

Nick D is not on tonight but he said last night that he will be on like ten days straight next week during the holidays. He's even having a special "NICKTACULAR" Christmas special on Christmas eve I believe.

Steve Dahl would be the perfect fit for PM Drive. He is the right age, everybody in Chicago knows him and he has morphed from shock-jock into somebody you know and trust, like Wally Phillips. He would hate me making that comparison, but there it is.

The only question is whether or not The Trib could or would want to afford him. He ain't cheap, but he always delivers the good, ratings wise.
