WGN Time Warner ( former Adelphia area) Cincinnati, Ohio

Time Warner is making me mad. I called and told them WGN was nothing but a black screen at around 7:30pm Sunday and they still have not fixed it. The wanted to send out a tech when its a problem on thier end not my end.

These people at cable companies never are willing to admit the problem is on their end. They always want to send a technician out for $2000/hr. Go over to all your neighbors residences and have them check to. Then have them call TW as well. Once they get 10 more calls saying there is an issues with WGN they should finally get the message that it's on their end.

Why the WGN blackout in Cincy?

WGN is part of the CW network. Cincinnati has CIN CW on cable plus a DT subchannel. Time Warner is most likely enforcing Network Non-Duplication rules at the request of CIN CW.

I think the poster was talking about the national Superstation version, which has no CW programming.

That's correct, WGN on cable is basically a whole different channel from WGN on broadcast. For all the high and mighty talk chuckydoll does I'm finally glad to witness him make a mistake.

Just the other day, TNT was a blank screen here in Denver for about an hour between 3:00 & 4:00 PM ET. I know this because I had switched there to watch the daily 3:00 PM ET showing of Law & Order, which I ordinarily do after watching the daily 2:00 PM ET showing of 24 on A&E.

I didn't report it, but about an hour later, it came back on. Apparently someone noticed....

Oh well.....

The cable provider - Comcast.

Cheers :D
