WGNY 1220 is Granted CP to 10,000 Watts

According to the National Radio Club, WGNY 1220 has an CP to go to 10,000 Watts...

1220 WGNY NY Newburgh - CP granted for U4 10000/180.

old news...station is currently and has been at 10k for almost a month already. Daytime only of course. Still stuck at 180w at night.

I didn't think WGNY's CP would be at 10,000 Watts this soon, are you sure they are 10,000 Watts ? Where did you hear this ?
What is their reach in the Hudson Valley, are they reaching Albany, NY, Danbury Conn, etc. ? I'm not picking them up here in NYC.

Yes. They have stated so on air at numerous points. As was pointed out in the thread that started back when this was first filed, going from 5 to 10 doesn't really extend the contour, just fills it in. They are directional westward. Sounds good in Poughkeepsie to the NE though. Best coverage is still Orange County.

I'm not sure why the simulcast on WDLC is needed.
