WGNY 1220 Programming Update

I thought I read on a thread here that Suzie Garcia was suppose to start at WGNY 1220 Oldies a few weeks ago. I heard Joe Manglass mention the daily lineup today but didn't hear her name mentioned. Does anyone have more info. about this ?

P-Town posted that thread under the Bob& Suzie Fired thread. I asked her about it on Facebook. This was her response. It didn’t quite make sense. In any event, she is not on WGNY. Buffalo Bob is still on in the PM drive spot.
"
Suzy Garcia details coming soon...not just there but a BRAND NEW STATION with the group that i am heading up! Wooooohoooo in a few days I will tell all!!!! thanks Warren! :)

Does anybody know if WGNY is still simulating on 1490 WDLC? It is no longer mentioned in the TOH legal ID, although they could be doing it separately to easy the jumble of ID’s.

Listening in today to WGNY Fox Oldies Saturday morning show- Bob O' mentioning that it was Friday Morning...Was this a blooper or do they voice track repeating their Satuday shows ?

According to Scott Fybush, WDLC has dumped "Fox Oldies" and replaced with WJGK's "The Fox" at 103.1 running AC on 1490 AM, sounds a lot like WKNY which is on the same frequency. 97.3 in Highland used to simulating "The Fox" a few years back when it was covered by Cumulus' "The Wolf", but 97.3 in Highland pulled the plug.

Replying to MHVRadioFan and MusicRadioUSA: "I thought I read on a thread here that Suzie Garcia was suppose to start at WGNY 1220 Oldies a few weeks ago."

AS I posted on that other thread last week, no, Suzy Garcia is NOT on WGNY Oldies. But what I posted here on March 16 is true: She stood up that morning at the monthly Poughkeepsie Chamber of Commerce Breakfast, after being introduced and welcomed by the president of the chamber Charlie North, and made the announcement herself that she'd be starting afternoon drive on WGNY the following Monday.

Given the track record of the guy she was to about to start working for at WGNY, though, anything could have happened in the meantime!!

As of now, Suzy Garcia is ended up somewhere in Connecticut on WRKI's "I95" which is also a classic rock station than WPDH and WBPM combined. Good luck with her new morning show.
