WGNY 1220's Future ?

Anyone know if WGNY 1220 will remain an Oldies station ? I'm wondering because their website hasn't been updated in a long time. I'm also wondering why WGNY doesn't stream online. Even WBNR-WLNA is now streaming their station.

Update..their stream seems to ID only 1420 WLNA but during various broadcasts ID are also heard for 1260 WBNR, 920 WGHQ.

What happened to that construction permit that WGNY had to put a station on 1200 in Highland? Seems like they've been trying to break free of 1220 for a few years, as the night signal gets overrun by Cleveland and a few others.

I believe there are call letters for the station on 1200 AM in Kingston/Highland already, could be testing soon. Anyone have more info here ?

I have heard nothing about 1200 WJGK actually being built , nor have I noticed any new towers .Sunrise Broadcasting abandoned the mutually exclusive Kingston CP on the same frequency when their new construction permit was approved on 9/29/2005 .If the new 1200 WJGK is not built in the next year , by 9/29/2008 the CP will expire . While some disagree, I have said it before, given the fact that local AM stations are always at the bottom of the ratings list if they show up at all, in part because their signal is good for only a few miles at night why would someone bother building a new one?
