WGNY on 93.7

Does WGNY have aby translators on 93.7? Here in Poughkeepsie, I've been hearing it lately on a couple of radios. I used to occasionally get the one in Hartford, or more rarely, even WSTW in Wilmington during the summer. For a while, there was a True Oldies translator and a Christian relay there, but I haven't heard them since Fox Oldies went on the air.

The nearest translator on 93.7 to the Poughkeepsie market is in Newburg, but I thought it was Religious. I don’t know if they switched, as I got nothing on 93.7 in Hyde Park. It is possible Sunrise worked out a deal, after switching WGNY-AM to ESPN, since 98.9 does not come in well in Newburg.

I tried again using my car radio, in Poughkeepsie. Yes indeed WGNY-FM is on 93.7, likely from the Newburg location as it is rather weak. Sunrise probably did not want to lose their Newburg audience with the flip of WGNY-AM to ESPN. They should promote it though.

I'm heated over this switch!

I think the 93.7 translator is located in Beacon (http://radiodiscussions.com/smf/index.php?topic=126389.0;wap2). The station sounds excellent in Middletown, Montgomery, Newburgh and even a ways north on 17.

I sometimes preferred listening to WZMX out of Hartford over WQHT and WWPR. ZMX came in very nicely on my CC most of the time. See: http://s57.photobucket.com/user/orioles1/media/MVI_0537_zpsb81d457c.mp4.html

Other times, WSTW from Wilmington would skip in. I've even heard WEEI Boston on rare occasions.

All the fun is gone now :(

I'd be especially mad if I lived in Brewster or Danbury. WZMX prolly sounds like garbage there now.
