Ive heard WGPA has been sold to Ron & Chris Crumbliss. (father & son.).
What willl they do with it ? When did Joe Timmer die ?

WGPA has been sold but Joe Timmer is still living as far as I know .

Joe Timmer is ill I think. Likely why WGPA was sold .

Joe Timmer is still alive, and battling dimentia.

Late last year, his family transferred control of the station to his attorney.

They were clueless as to how to run a station, so they sold it.

the new owners seem clueless too. plan to air oldies, polka, country .
( probably preachers & infomercials too ) wonder if they will add an fm translator.

If they were smart they would get a translator. It really is the only way the station will survive.

paid $75,000 93.3 W256BQ (same freq as WMMR in Phila) have not heard it on the air and no new antenna on their tower!
