WGRR Gone More Classic Rock?

It seems like they are leaning more torrows the classic rock hits today. I never in my life thought I would hear The Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein or even Aerosmith - Dream On on WGRR. Aerosmith really shocked me What next are we going to hear ZZ top or Led Zepplin on WGRR LOL. Dont Get me wrong WGRR is my most favorite radio station in Cincy. But i was shocked to hear thos songs on WGRR.

Cumulus has made some very questionable decisions. They lack local leadership and their corporate people have screwed up.

WGRR has been going into Fox's playlist since the ownership change..I'd wish they would sound like the old MOJO 949 though and leave the Classic Rock on 92.5.

If there's any big station in town in recent years that I wish they'd sound like, I wish they'd sound like the "Saturday Night '70s" they used to do on WWNK around 1993 or 1994.

You usually don't hear those on Oldies stations, but....those songs were most definitely played heavily on AM Top 40, back in the day...I would MUCH rather hear those types of songs incorporated into an Oldies station's music mix, than the disco crap that usually gets inserted instead, as they thin out that 60s library....

So screwed up, in fact, that WGRR placed fifth in the last book. Oh, wait, since Cumulus took over late in the fall book, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how screwed up they really are. In the meantime, the Arbs seem to tell a different story than the one you're reading.

let me know how that 25-54 number is Mr. less than Wylly one.

Sure thing. My point wasn't the number now, it's what it looks like after a full book of Cumulus running it as compared to before. WGRR had one of their worst books under CBS/Infinitycommeville right before the studio was moved. The next two books will testify as to how Cumulus is running it.

Interesting that no one on these boards talks about overall strategy. WGRR has two sister stations that figure into its direction.

WGRR

As of the Fall '06 ratings, WOFX is #3 25-54, WMOJ is 7th, WGRR is 8th. 12+ ratings don't matter, so it's useless to even look at them.

I can't imagine all these format/frequency/ownership flips and changes have helped.
