WGRR playing Mariah Carey

I am shocked to hear Maraih Carey on WGRR even if its a Christmas song (All I Want For Christmas). I thought I would only hear this on WARM98.
 
I don't think anyone should be surprised by ANYTHING that GRR would play. Maybe they still have okay ratings, but they have no identity and no direction. The folks that I know that listen to them now think they are still an oldies station, even though they claim anything before 1999 is oldies. They have no 'personalities" anymore, except for that crew in the morning. I am amazed Rockin' Ron has survived this long. It's difficult to listen to their 57 song playlist, without boredom setting in. I'm not a radio expert, just a lowly listener who used to enjoy the station and feel sad with what it has become.......Just one guys opinion..Sorry GRR fans.

Mariah Carey = barf!

Not oldies, and certainly not "classic hits". Not for the 42-52 cell.
 
FRR...are you kidding me? WGRR has much better than "OK" ratings. They're hitting the tops of the 25-54 demos across the board. Sorry you're "Oldies" format is relegated to AM, but WGRR is performing better now than they ever did. I also like the trap of using "people I know" as your research cell. Good work.
 
I am shocked to hear that a CHristmas song is playing in mid-December.

I think I need a chair...oh wait, I'm sitting down.

BTW, I'm playing new Gary John Barden right now in case you all are keeping score.
 
If it's a Christmas song, almost anything goes on any format. Now if they start playing stuff of the Emotions CD, then I'd begin to scratch my head. Although she is smokin' hot on the cover of that disc. ;D
 
Yes, Elephant, I spent years of research and consulted all the "experts" before I made my post. LOL Hey, relax, and read my last line. I said it was just one lowly listeners opinion. Even those of us who don't work in the business do have a right to an opinion, right? Even you might agree with that. And if you don't, too bad.
