WGSM 107.1 SAMFM MORNING SHOW

I noticed that Just George & Brett Wigham are no longer on SAMFM -107.1 morning show and have been replaced by Diana Lasko.

Does anybody know what happened to George & Brett?

I knew Brett had been gone for some time...I think Hank Baughman from WSHH is now doing the news. Not sure about George.

I heard Brent Whigham left the building when Hank Baughman relocated to Greensburg and began to service both WJAS/WSHH and WGSM. I didn't know that George had exited. (He's still on the web site.)

The station has transitioned very quickly from "Sam FM" to "G-107" (for about a minute), to "107.1 WGSM." I can't hear 107.1 at home but heard them play "All Shook Up" by Elvis Presley yesterday while in the car. It's enough to make one wonder what they intend.

I aways thought the network version of 'we play anything' sounded great. I heard stuff on sam that I would never hear on 'bob'...101.7 up in Meadeville also plays some pretty wacked out stuff. I heard 'the wreck of the edmond fitzgerald' into c&c music factory into 'i would die for you' into 'you shook me all night long' into that dance song that the monks did a few years back...on a thursday afternoon at 2:30...and i loved it...now thats anything...

I was listening to WGSM when they were make their slow and progressive format change to Classic Hits. I have some air checks of 107.1 Fm back in the days when they were Classic Hits Z-107 WSSZ. The other day I listened to the Z-107 air checks that i recorded way back when, and when i listen to the current automated sounding WGSM Classic Hits format, it sounds exactly the same as the original automated Classic Hits Z-107 format. Maybe they pulled the old Stereo 107 WOKU -FM Automation system out of storage and hooked it up to the new WGSM studio along with the Z-107 Classic Hits format. While listening in the car today, i heard a quite a few dead air breaks in and out of commercial breaks.

If you heard two (or more) songs running simultaneously, along with a bunch of carts, you might be right! :D Gotta love those days...don't miss 'em when I was at WQMU!
