WGSR-47.3 is now "The Christmas Channel"

Yes, we have beaten the radio stations to the water hole this year. Exclusively for over-the-air viewers (sorry, no cable junkies invited) WGSR's 47.3 channel is now all Christmas programming, and most of it locally produced.

At present, we are airing Christmas parades from some of your favorite towns and cities from years past, but The Christmas Channel will be THE place to see what's going on for the holidays.

Put us on the television for all of your Christmas parties and see your neighbors celebrating the season. And of course, let us know what you think of the idea.

It appears to me there are negative comments from various posters concerning anything that is posted on the boards. What great feat in life has happened to make these people the guru (s) of broadcasting? I often feel they are on the outside looking in and venting their frustrations and/or failureson the others. If you read the boards in various markets you'll always find one or two that seem to be very vocal on almost any topic. The bulk of those people have not worked in broadcasting in years and were either fired or fired themselves through whatever events that took place in their lives and broadcasting. I personally want be watching any Christmas Parades but have to applaude the local operator for his involvement in his community and offering local programming. Kind of takes some guts!

You're a redeck and have no idea what the biz is about! You come on here spouting.. Son, let me tell you with your 9 posts, I have , put 3 kids thoough the University of Florida, have 2 beachs houses, one in Myrtle Beach and the other in Cape Canaveral. My gross income from the industry last year was 6.5 million dollars.. By the way, I'm single and looking for a "mail order bride" [glow=red,2,300]BIGAPE]

What's your's? Didn't know that was part of the rules to have a link, but if you must know, my cousin owns 94.1
 
If your cousin owns 94.1 and you are such a hot shot broadcaster why aren't you in the "family business"? Seems to me you have trashed the family business at every turn and now you want to tout that association as your "tie to the Triad"? Think 94.1 should be applauded for their efforts against the big guys in the market. Being an independent is not easy and feel the station needs support not a constant trashing for all the things that you feel are wrong. There have been mentions of a hand full of songs being played that don't meet your approval. Just how many songs do they play a day that are right on target! In my opinion 94.1 sounds great but they have lacked the dollars to promotion the station and most are finding the station by "word of mouth" or by accident. I am done with this tread and will not be back on this board.
 
So Big Ape .. are you going to respond to Moonshine's post? You seem to be very vocal on most topics on this board. I wonder if your cousin knows how you trash 94.1?
