WGST 1974

New, for your weekend listening pleasure, Karl Phillips on WGST from March of 1974 and an old WQXI holiday jingle in the "Audio Archives" section at www.grhof.com. Also, newly discovered photos of legendary Atlanta jock Bob McKee at WQXI and WAKE in "Legendary Stations".
Enjoy!

Had forgotten GST ever was a music station once upon a time.

The station was located on the Tech campus for many tears. There are lots of old WGST pictures in the "Legendary Stations" portion of www.grhof.com

Too bad that you don't have any photos of the WGST studios at Tech's Coliseum from 1956-1974. I worked at WREK when it was located in this space, and the building was very well constructed, specially for WGST. There are several photos in the Ga. Tech archives collection.

Whatever happened to Bill Sherrard, PD during the music era of WGST when they broadcasting out of 550 Pharr Road
