WGST 9am - noon .....

The WGST website says Kevin Wall is on vacation. Some vacation! If you go to WMAL in Washington, you'll hear Kevin Wall. He's filling in there from 9-12, at least today (Monday)and probably all week.

The host normally on WMAL (Michael Graham) was fired, and Kevin Wall is his normal fill-in there.

So, guess that means Wall doesn't have the WGST job, or doesn't want it and would prefer to try to work for ABC/Disney in Washington rather than Clear Channel in Atlanta.

Just heard Steve Malzburg say he's filling in for Kevin Wall on GST. A fill-in filling in for a fill-in. Hmmmm. Now that's funny.

Wouldn't you?

Funny, but not surprising. That place is as organized as a flash fire.

An old radio proverb: If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, its ratings would be just about the same as GST's.

Kevin Wall is terrible.

I hope he stays on vacation or in DC or wherever he is.

I'd take this Malzburg guy in a heartbeat over Wall.

Then again I'd take virtually anyone over Wall!

Experienced hosts want nothing to do with GST's deathtrap.

Same goes for PD's.

No qualified programmer would take that job for ANY amount of money.

Maybe you all should listen to Martha Zoller on WDUN AM 550...just change the station and you'll hear fair and balanced news...she is becoming widely known as "The Velvet Hammer"...

Why doesn't CC just BUY 550 and move the whole deal to ATL?

Zoller gets far more buzz than anyone on GST in the past decade or so, and the WDUN folks seem to have a clue as to how to run a successful talk radio station in the 24/7 shadow of WSB.

It was posted a while back that Zoller does not do that well in the ratings in WDUN's home county of Hall so why would she do better in Atlanta.

I think you are mistaken about that. Your numbers weren't verifiable. But 550 won't sell to CC because they don't want to ruin the station. Everything CC touches in the area turns to dust, well almost everything...LOL

How can you use Martha Zoller and news in the same sentence? Zoller, Limbaugh, Vannity, Savage and those like them are not news. They are opinion. They take other people's work add spin and spit on the person that wrote it by painting with the broad brush of "Evil Liberal Media".

As though anyone who actually writes news for a career has to have a liberal agenda. But, adding conservative spin with a dash of Liberals suck, and you have fair and balanced?

How? How is taking one side and blasting the other side fair and balanced? How?

Opinion shows tell listeners what to think of the news. News people give the news and allow the listener to think whatever they choose.

As far as fair and balanced on TV,,, If you watch only the news segments on Fox and CNN and turn it off when some damned opinion show comes on and just watch the news. There is no difference between the two.

Fox even sent Van Susteran to New Orleans. Why? What are the legal ramifications of dying. You're dead. Or, you're not dead. It does not need an opinion host. It needs news people.

Wolfe isn't down there. He is in Washington. Doing what? Politics! Not reporting. Just debating and adding spin. Hannity? In New York, spin, spin, spin.

"Velvet Hammer" "Fair and Balanced" my freaking God people.

"I hope I wasn't unclear." quote-Dave Ramsey. Financial opinion, not NEWS
