WGST back on FM - It's about time!

No guarantee this is the new format. It just might be some stunting until the new format rolls since they are not announcing on GST. I listened to the 12:00 news and no mention of 105.7,
Have you heard a TOH station ID yet?

Peach is a stunt. The real format comes out at 4 p.m. I don't know what it is...

No streaming at work. So, it's a true made-up stunt and not a simul of some CC AC station elsewhere, like Cox's flip of Fox a few years back?

At noon it was "WWVA-FM Canton"

My fingers are crossed that Clear Channel unveils one of their TRUE, powerhouse CHR's. Totally blow Q100, Star94, & The Beat out of the water!

Atlanta is far too crowded for another CHR.

AC seems like a logical choice, but I don't see why they would stunt with Peach for 2 hours, then another format until 4PM, then revert to AC.

Rhythmic AC, gold-based alternative (see WRFF/Philadelphia) and an all-90s format (CC just launched one in Louisville) aren't out of the realm of possibility, especially given the signal limitations.

It's too bad this is probably a stunt -- this is a real AC, like another poster said. B98.5 is so odd.

I don't think it will be rock, they already have 96.1. AC is such a logical choice, but that doesn't seem to be it. FM sports takes a lot of investment. There are 2 other "CHR" stations, plus CHR/Rhy on 95.5....though they aren't true CHR's, they are close enough and would make it too crowded.

I like the music mix on the temporary "Peach."

I don't know...CHR might work. If 105.7 can apply enough pressure on Star or Q to make one or the other flip, then you might see CHR move from 105.7 to 96.1 down the road.

Soft AC makes sense. Rhythmic AC would compete with Kiss, although there would be less signal overlap. All-90s or alt gold would compete with [email protected] and Rock100.5, and also cannibalize Project.

I would say put on soft AC, flip to Christmas at the right time, and see if it sticks. If not, have a plan B ready; and with the Christmas format in the meanwhile, it wouldn't be too much of a commitment.

I still think all-Christmas early, stunt with that, then go AC maybe 12/26 or 1/1 would be smart. If not that, I think WGST at 105.7 is the smartest thing.

Just the 12:02 Local News Lead-in.

It Sounds Like A stunt mode Before The Flip But CHR/Pop Could Be Happening Since Pop Radio Is So Popular Now Wstr Is More Hot AC, WWWQ Is CHR But Clear Channel Could Bring KIIS FM Brand In Atlanta
