WGUC gets on the HD Bandwagon

And then there's this line:

"HD radio also offers a big advantage over satellite radio – because listeners get the programming for free, Eiswerth says."

Granted, prices will come down, but for now it's not free if you have to purchase a $500 radio. I don't know. I'm skeptical. Seems like too little too late. With sat radio right now, I can get not one but three jazz channels -- traditional, fusion/eclectic, and smooth jazz -- not to mention big band and swing. Not to mention numerous different genres of other musical styles too.

And quite honestly, if the HD stations are programmed as sterile, boring, and musically safe as the regular FMs, count me out.
