WGUN AM 1010 Atlanta Pictures

Hey Al!

Let me know when you want to see the "innerds" of WGUN's transmitter site....it is quite interesting! (Frankenstein high voltage vault and everything!!)
The old Westinghouse HG2 is no longer operational, but it still sits in place, adding "ambiance" to the site.
Call Walt and bring him too.....he will have many stories to tell.
For that matter, anyone else who would like to see the site can come.....we'll make it a tour......I'll even knock the spider webs down!! It's an important, albeit a forgotten part of Atlanta radio history.

P.S. Miss your show on 1160.....you did a great job!

You bet Tom. Email me from my website and let me when it's a good time and I will bring Walt along too. It will be fun! Also thanks for the compliments about my show on 1160. I sure miss it!!

Pictures of and old AM in Atlanta WGUN 1010. Thought it might be of interest. I love AM radio and the tower sites. I'd have a tower in my backyard if I could.

Good stuff!

Since you're an Adult Standards fan, you might enjoy our radio station at www.kzqx.com It seems to have an amazingly loyal audience. I also collect lots of old broadcast stuff. Some of it is on http://www.chalkhillmedia.org/Museum/ The site is a little out of date as a lot has been added recently. Finding time to post it is a problem.
