Here is what the FCC's FM Query tool turns up:

http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/sta_det.pl?Facility_id=125960

Licensee: QUAD CITIES COMMUNITY BROADCASTING GROUP
Address: 1922 24TH STREET
Address 2:
City: ROCK ISLAND
State: IL
Zip Code: 61201 -
Phone Number: (309) 793-0312

This is their mailing address and may not necessarily be the location of their studio, but it is a place to start. Hope that helps.

thanks for that, I have seen that page before, but when you go by that address you will find a house and when you call that number, it has been disconnected!!!

There is also this info from their application for a license to cover their facilities:

Contact Representative (if other than Applicant)
WILLIAM R. JACKSON

Firm or Company Name
QUAD CITIES COMMUNITY BROADCASTING GROUP

Telephone Number (include area code)
3097887786

E-Mail Address (if available)
[email protected]

Additionally, their antenna appears to be at the corner of 18th St and 3rd Ave in Rock Island.

Ummm...did you trying knocking on the door? I wouldn't be surprised at an LPFM station being run out of a house. However, you bring up an interesting point for a lot of frustrated radio people. The main studio doesn't necessarily have to be where the station actually does its broadcasts, and the toll-free phone number for the city of license just has to exist. It doesn't have to be listed.

> where did you get that info at?

CDBS Public Access

Choose "Search for application information" and input call letters WGVV-LP. Click "Info" on the first search result, and you see that it's an application for a license to cover. Click "View Authorization" and you can see the coordinates of the antenna location. I just plugged the coordinates into Google Maps.

Go back, click "Application" and you get the information about the administrative contact, including phone number.

do LPFM's maintain a public files? is that a rule for them...I know it is for commercial tv and radio. What about non com stations? do they have to do it?? Just wondering.,

LPFMs do not, but I know non-comms do.

yeah LP's don't need to keep a public file is what I've found out. But, non-coms do along with commercial operations TV and Radio.

question how long does something have to stay in the public file, is it seven years or three years? As far as communications from the community, and other related documents?

Depends. Transmitter/EAS logs are two years. Most everything else usually revolves around license renewal periods, such as the quarterly issues reports.
