Overheard lunchtime chit-chat between a couple of VIPs: Both WGY and WXXA think Jackie and Steve could have been a little more creative in crafting a name for their morning show on 590. After all, FoxNews Morning Broadcast is named "DayBreak" while WGY airs "Daybreak" weekday mornings as well.

The Good News: the WGY person urged the WXXA dude not to "be anal about it" because whenever a radio listener writes "DayBreak" in their Arbitron diary, WGY gets the credit, regardless of what time of morning! (Don't think so? Ask to check the diaries sometime - John Foxx did one time awhile back and he found something really crazy that affected Fly92!)
They oughta call it "Good Morning Albany" and play the old A-L-B-A song with Mason & Sheehan & Lisa Sliwa, and they could even bill Tom Rigotti as "The singing newsman." Or howabout "WROW Rising" - nah, they couldn't be that creative - I KNOW! "Kooky for Morning Oookey!"
