Reported in the Phoenix Boards here... CC is divesting all holdings outside the top 50 markets... announcement in January... the Albany cluster is up for sale.

AHA! So this is why ABC/Pamal brass has been "covertly" pondering selling off Magic, Jamz and the Edge OR trading them to CC for WGY! (I Don't think they got the greenbacks to pull it off!)

And I thought it was baseless radio scuttlebutt!

And in Albany, CC can also stand for "Cinderblock Central"...where WGY's old studios used to be. ;D
 
The carrots have been dangled!
Overheard: a WGY on-air person (don't know if it was "talk" or "news") has been approached by WROW. The plot thickens as the "Doctor Joe" show may be changing frequencies. AND Jay Bobbin, the critic, tossed out of WNYT Television now faces a similar fate at WGY (or has he been shown the door already)? And the biggest news of all? Keep the name "Sean Hannity" in mind.
