WGY traffic reports

Where do they originate from? The past few weeks WCBS's regular daytime traffic reporter Chris Majet has been heard on WGY. Chris also does traffic for WHLI. Don't know if his WGY reports are recorded or not . He does WCBS reports live at 00:58 and then is heard on WGY at 00:00.
 
WGY's traffic reports are recorded and have come out of iHeart's Syracuse cluster for several years. They are generic reports that use WGY branding and run all the stations in the cluster.

Syracuse also does the reports for a few other markets. The reporters are mostly producers or part timers that have a revolving list of other duties.

WGY did start doing traffic reports live and local in the morning at one time after Syracuse took over, but I think it stopped as part of layoffs a few years ago. The person doing the morning reports also did the reports for WNYT-TV in both the mornings and afternoons. Right now the WGY news anchors do the reports for WNYT-TV.
