A jockless jukebox for a morning show? Must be tough times at WBOQ. Did they lose advertisers after dropping classic hits and not pick up sufficient new ones with AC? Of course, when I used to listen to the station in its oldies incarnation, it seemed like half the ads were for the Athenian Restaurant. Maybe that's the account they lost.

That said, maybe Dana simply retired on short notice and nobody's been hired yet. But the fact that this has happened on the first of the month does hint at an unrenewed contrac.

go look at the website... the team is listed on there, dana isnt
 
The website apparently last updated June of 2018, the month after Dana was let go.

The overnight guy is also on a station in the same market

And if my name was Meryl Goldsmith I'd change it for radio too

This thread got me, too. Since I don't have family on the North Shore anymore, I'd pretty much stopped listening to the station shortly after Jacky Ankeles was deep-sixed from her midday show. Had they flipped to AC when Hersey was let go, or did that happen later?

Hersey was "let go" with the flip to AC. It all happened over a year ago.
 
The flip to AC was just after Christmas of '17 and Hersey and McGonacle were let go May of following year.

You must be pulling our legs here; you're usually up on matters like these. If you live out of the area, I could understand, but you say you "tuned in", and, heh, you do have a screen name that sounds like one of our legacy stations (WMEX) now on life support.

HA! A senior moment I guess.

Since they flipped to AC, I never listen to them....So, somewhere in my head, I guess I expected them to be there. (I had never heard of this new morning duo they have, so my brain mustn't have processed the information that Dana was gone...)
