I like Dana's promo where he says, of DePetro (no I), "He doesn't have a
deep, distinguished voice like...some people" (modest, eh Dana!) and the one
for Howie: "You're listening to Howie Carr, the man who made a ton of money
outing Whitey Bulger but then spent all that money on a bodyguard for
24/7 protection...ya big chicken, cluck cluck! (laughs to himself) 'cluck
cluck?...where did that come from"<P ID="signature">______________

it's time for a little reinvention. Even if DePetro had something on the ball, which this listener isn't suggesting, his voice is stale. Time for something new 9 - noon. Rush Limbaugh is the black hole of RKO programming - one big vacuum for people who want live and local.

promos alone won't fix programming, it has to come from the content.

Maybe WTKK can move O'Reilly to another time slot (tape delayed) and have
live-local 12-3, make that 12-7 counting Graham?

Am watching Red Sox opener on TV btw; seen sitting nr. Red Sox dugout is
Mike Barnicle--a sign Greater Media might be getting the radio rights?
Then again, the Beautiful People always seem to find their way into
the home opener. Gov. Romney and Cong. Meehan also seen (behind home plate).
Bet Stevie "Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" King will be there too.<P ID="signature">______________

Are you kidding? Black hole? This is supposedly WRKO's highest rated program in any daypart. Not to mention that it saves money by being syndicated (as opposed to live and local).

You may not like him personally, but he's still extremely successful at what he does. Rush isn't going anywhere in Boston, if Entercom has a say in the matter.

AMEN!

When the content of anything doesn't measure up to "the hype"----the audience stops listening and ignores the source.

Which is the reason so many radio stations are failing right now! The listeners have gotten smarter, and realize they can turn to other sources for news, sports or entertainment.
