Whale Mornings?

Looking for a replacement. Too bad the wrong guy left or is off the show! That combo in the morning was/ is an absolute train wreck!!!! Management needs to wake up and replace the entire show with solid entertainment, content and people who actually sound like they like each other and have a clue how to do the basics! Did you listen, then you know it's true!

Well, I can only tell you from my own experience knowing Steve. He was at the whale a loooong time. He was at the WMRV for awhile and he got sick of playing Britney Spears every 2 hours. Typical Top 40 format. This move is not easy for him, last I knew he had 3 kids and his wife is an absolute dear..Steve is just as genuine. We clicked immediately when I first met him upteen years ago.

I do not listen to theri show due to other commitments in the am, but when I did listen, it seemed like the chemistry was there.

I know Steve reads these boards and I wish him and his family well.

Yeah nothing personal, business is business but good radio has to be the priority of the day and it was not good. Neither one of those two would honestly tell you it was working, cause it wasn't!

i was never impressed with steve when he was at wmrv either, but having said that, i figured he was one of those people whose lack of talent would keep him in the market for life. where did he
go?

Greetings. Just wanted to give everyone an update on what I'm doing. My wife and I decided to move closer to our families. We now reside in Altoona, PA. My wife has pursued a nursing career and I decided to leave radio to pursue a couple of side ventures that I'd been working on for 20 years. I'm devoting my time to the mobile DJ business and professional voice work. To be successful in the radio business you need to give a 110 percent. I did that for 30 years and had a lot of fun along the way. Now I'd like to give that same 110 percent to a business that I can call my own. It was my decision to walk away from radio and that meant leaving some great people at Citadel, but they're still my friends and we keep in touch. The timing for the move was perfect and everything is going better than we expected. Thank you to everyone who listened and supported me over the years. Binghamton will always be a part of my life.

Steve, so great to hear from you! You and I go back since the WMRV days...And most notably the Party on the Patio at the Holiday In arena. I'm glad you decided to do what you finally want to do. I left radio in 96, my last station was WHWK. I've been a full time Mobile DJ since then. Like you, I had to sacrifice alot. You will do just fine...

Many Blessings you, your wife, and the kids..

I've always considered you "One of the good guys"

Pm me if you wish..

Steve ... didn't get to say bye... good luck in your goins on... Hope all works out well for ya....Bingo radio will be missing a good guy...
