What’s yo favorite hiphop station in 2025

Been liking the direction Power 106 has been leaning towards lately, especially with more Cali-centric throwbacks and currents on their playlisted blocks. 102 Jamz Greensboro reminds me of the Hot 102.1 VA Beach days, just good old radio, not too heavy on the jocks spending their mic time advertising. Power 92 Chicago's weeknight mixshow, Real Radio is a big hit with me. Just spinning and mixing whatever they want, requests, heavier and more 'ratchet' tunes, just a good head bop. A lot of local artists played in that block. The Block New York and Vibe 92.7 LP Miami mixshows for throwbacks are a vibe.

International recommendation: Break North show on Glxy Radio in Netherlands. Just dope hip-hop from boombap to trap bangers and everything in-between. Heard a few good LA tracks on there before Power picked it up. Airs Thursday & Sunday 3-5pm Eastern, 9-11PM Dutch time.

For the market it’s in, Power in Omaha does a great job as a rhythmic. Part of the NRG family. Breakfast Club in mornings, local jock for afternoon drive, a couple of mix shows per day, and mixing on weekends. Can’t forget R. Dub on Sunday nights. Playlist-wise, it’s definitely quick on new music.

And can’t forget KC’s hip hop battle going on between Hot 103 and Power. Local talent in all day parts, plus mixing. Hot’s long been locally owned, Cumulus owns the latter. Playlist-wise, they’re fairly similar, but Power is a tad quicker on newer music.

Yeah I’ve been listening to Power 106 more since they started playing more throwbacks from the 90’s.

My favorite hip hop stations is

My favorite for older Hip Hop would probably be 102 Jams in San Francisco meanwhile for newer hip hop it would probably be 106.1 KMEL also in San Francisco
In LA for old school hip hop I choose KDAY 93.5. For current hip hop it would be Power 106 & Real 92.3.
