I lost my Randi Rhoades and I'm pissed. Just what we need. Another
friggin' Spanish or religious station. Whoopee! Now we have both!
Thank goodness for satellite radio. Crank up that XM in your truck
Mike! The conservative blowhards are blowing harder yet again!

Was listening to 910 after the changeover. A financial services ad for the "Ave Maria" Catholic mutual fund. They invest only in socially responsible companies. Does that mean companies that pay fair wages and limit green house gases? NO!!! It means companies that don't provide
benefits to homosexuals, and omit birth control pills and abortions (even to save the woman's life) from their health plans.... really sad...and I'm Catholic....

Actually many companies DO offer insurance to gay couples. The UNFAIR part is companies that don't offer insurance to hero couples living together.

FYI...over 57,000 abortions performed in NYC last year. Most of them paid by medicaid.

Dear Frank:

Your post is an explanation of exactly why Catholic Radio was brought to the DFW metroplex (and many other cities). It's not primarily to teach non-Catholics the Catholic faith but to lead Catholics (like you) back to the Church by explaining the teachings of the Church clearly and intelligently. To make one small example, if a woman is raped, it doesn't make sense to punish the baby by killing him. He did nothing wrong. The merciful and right thing to do is condemn the violent crime but not condemn the innocent child. The Catholic Church's teachings make a lot of sense for those who are willing to pay attention. Hence the need for Catholic radio!

And in anticipation of someone saying that this is a radio board and not a religious board, I must say that Christianity is not the only religion being proclaimed on local radio stations. We must also remember that secularism, humanism and materialism are all religions, in a sense. They just don't hit a nerve as much as Christianity because the Christian faith demands something from us that we don't always want to give. Our very selves. These others are so easy that no one minds them but don't think for a moment that they're not religions. Religion is being professed on every station in this market every day. But it takes wisdom to realize this.
