What a gyp...WABB STILL NOT streaming!

I talked to someone at WABB in Mobile on the phone last winter or so. They told me that streaming was coming. Well it's still not here and this is one of the good stations! There is a select few of stations I'd want streaming but they're not. What a gyp.

Here we are almost two years later and I've seen a lot of CHR stations come online with streaming but this one is stubborn. I don't get how Clear Channel Mobile are streaming but not WABB. Can someone shed some light here?

Well, one of the reasons WABB is not streaming while the Clear Channel stations are is because WABB is not owned by CC... they are owned by Dittman Broadcasting.

Also, it comes down to money. There have been several stations that have cancelled their streaming due to new regulations concerning royalties.

As odd as it may seem, some stations do not care about streaming,m or at least see streaming as being useful. As long as the station can serve its listeners with it's FM signal, the station may not seek any further means of broadcastng such as via internet.

I'm surprised you didn't call the station crap for not streaming.

In that case I'll just have to save up my money and take some trips. My goal is to hear all the stations of formats I like in the US and the world.

They're familiar with the goob asking, and refusing to stream out of spite for him?

A little bit off topic from the main point here I understand but I heard from someone that toured WABB has said that WABB plays a rotation of songs.and they will resume the SAME rotation once again, hour after hour. Variety? Not one bit. Its obvious where they stand- they wont go streaming until 2012..or until the world ends :)
