Would you get over yourself already,,, If his listeners and adverts are happy, thats all that matters.. You think your all that just because you work for a Cookie Cutter Cumulous station,,, Yeah, id much rather listen to songs that are 6 months to a year old, and still in heavy rotation. Cumulous has the worst ran CHRs of all.. They finally got smart down at Myrtle Beach and flipped their No Ratings HOT 100,, and flipped it back to Rhythmic,,, Seeing as Hot 100 was being beaten in its own market by Z93 Jamz out of Charleston 100 miles away... The Cloud company should have never Shifted Hot 100 from a Dance-Rhythmic CHR, into a Conservative Mainstream CHR.. They were never able to touch Mix 97.7...... The cloud Co has also ruined KRBE and Q-100 and well, too many to list.

For Christ sakes... it's a Labor Day weekend for crying out loud!!! Alot of CHR stations are doing Old School/Back In The Day/Party Song/whatever they call them weekends this weekend, not just this one. Who cares if they play a Kansas or AC/DC record?

Do you sit in your car with a legal pad and paper and listen nonstop?

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

Flip the dial to "your station" and focus on that.
 
PS - I looked at an older thread with sample hours to list songs just to show everyone it's nothing to freak out about. I'm sure they're playing that stuff this weekend.

Hey Doc! If you haven't already, play "Obsession" by Animotion and follow it by some 50s or 60s tune (um... "Hello, I Love You" by The Doors or "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis maybe?) and see how much of a Truthsayer he really is (who actually ISN"T the PD of his station, he just does an airshift)! Above poster, I'd also LOVE to see his resume one day to see how much he um... embellishes things lol. ::)

Q100 since it's creation had been behind Star 94 in every demographic. Lately, they have passed them in all of the target demos and are even in 12+. I don't think I would call that "ruined"

It DOES help that Q100 got to step up to the 100,000 watt signal and have a fair battle against Star.
 
Indeed it does, but I'm aware of plenty 100,000 watt stations with flat ratings so they must be doing something right. Blind hatred and blanket statements like the one made above about all Cumulus CHR's are ignorant.

Even with me omitting the obvious stuff that doesn't belong, it still doesn't look very good. FYI, most successful CHR's today don't play much stuff older than 5 years old as gold...
