What about 2016

Any expected changes in the Orlando radio front? The country format is quickly dissolving, would you expect IHeart or CBS to take a stab at it now with a new/fresh approach? Any chance MIX goes a new direction in the A.M.? Are we counting down the final days of Philips at 104.1? What's the next nationally produced voice-track to take over a local gig?

So the WOLF is now on its 4th morning show in year (Shadow, Bubba, Blair Garner, and now good old standby Skid ...) - and trending down to a 1.0 *** .... could we see the "NEW 103.1" coming any day now? That, or do they bring in Doc to save the day?

The Wolf is dead in the water. I wonder when they will realized that move was a failure.

The problem with the Wolf is it is signal challenged competing against a 100,000 heritage country station that covers Daytona, Cocoa and all of Central Florida whereas WOTW covers Orlando and the immediate surrounding area. While not impossible, it isn't easy knocking down the heritage "big boy" in town. WPCV is another example of a 100,000 watt challenger to WWKA that hasn't worked well.

Is a classic rock or rock-leaning classic hits format out of the question for a station like WOTW? Rather than compete and lose, and lose badly.... why not serve a purpose, be unique, and potentially fill a gap in format coverage along the way? Too crazy of idea? Not billable?

WPCV doesn't really care about the Orlando Market. I believe they once tried to set up a satellite office in Orlando in the 90's for sales and closed it after a few months.

They are perfectly happy with a 13.2 Share in the Lakeland/Winter Haven Market, as well as Hall Communications being the only group in that market to subscribe to Nielsen.

They are pretty much the equivalent of WOGK in the Ocala/Gainesville Market.

Don't think that would happen considering Orlando already has 2 1/2 classic rock / hits stations. WMMO (more rock leaning), WOCL (more rock hits leaning), and WTKS at night (hence the 1/2) with their automated fossil rock (although that seems to be slowly going away with music only at night, even on the weekends). I would love to see a mainstream rock or AAA station here, but that's doubtful. I'll just stick with Sirius.

Yes, I understand that WPCV is very happy in Lakeland - Winter Haven being a big fish in a small pond. They are the only game in town. The reason I mentioned WPCV is because, as you mentioned, Hall attempted to compete against WWKA at one time and apparently was not as successful as they had hoped to be.

With the WOLF getting the longtime K92FM P.D., could we be hearing Ron Bisson daily soon?

He is on WLBE 790 in Leesburg weekdays from 7-9 AM. It would make sense though - K92 is his home.
