What about Bob Rivers for mornings?

I never hear anyone mention this guy. He is currently in Seattle, doing very well from what I hear.
This guy is off da hook! Check out his web site.....and all of the parody songs in his vault. I would absolutely wake up in the morning just to hear his show.....I sure don't do that for anyone else!
Guys like Eric and Larry, O & A, Stern et.al. can not even begin to do what Bob Rivers can do.
Google Bob Rivers and check out his stuff. This is what morning radio should be!
 
I seriously doubt he wants to leave Seattle. However, you gotta wonder why he hasn't syndicated yet?

He was for a time. Not very good radio. Parody songs do not make a good morning show. In fact, the only people who think the ability to do parody songs and satirical commercials is key to morning success, are the same people who have driven good talent out and have put underdeveloped button pushers who make people drink lots of water for prizes in.

It's a moot point. Like a previous poster said, he's not going to leave Seattle where he's a legend. Second, and more importantly, if you think parody songs are what people are into in this era of morning shows you couldn't be more out of touch. They may have had their place on Top 40 ten years ago but they're the mark of lameness now. Deduct cred points, Taylor.
 
I think putting someone on the air with enough creativity/intelligence to do a good parody song is a great idea! And these are not lame, idiotic parodies.....most are very well done and politically/intellectually outrageous!
The posters keep coming up with(for Atlanta mornings) Larry and Eric, Eric and Larry, Eric- but not Larry, Larry- but not Eric, Eric- but Eric not Jewish, blah, blah, blah, David Paul, blah, blah, Jimmy, Leslie, Axial, blah, blah.
Is this all we really expect from our radio mornings?! Are THESE the"great talents" being displaced by "button pushin'" parody song singin' hosts?
I keep my cred points 'cause Bob Rivers has more IQ/talent than all the other mentioned possible morning show hosts combined.
His show, BTW, is not a bunch of parody songs. Listen to a podcast.....and then opine!
 
People on this board talk about guys like Eric, Larry, Jimmy, David Paul, etc. like they're washed up no-talents. I'm not sure I get that. Each one of those three have proven track records, a fan base, and could still get better numbers on FM than what's out there (except maybe Bert). Wanna hear some bad radio? Try 99.7 weekday mornings.

THIS JUST IN: BOB IS THE NEW MORNING SHOW ON "THE RIVER"
 
Let's just hope he's not going to do all those stupid parody songs......that lame programming went out of style in the 70's.(except for those highbrow types you find in Seattle.)
He will never be as good as David Paul.....or Larry and Eric/Eric and Larry/Larry and Eric -best of the bathroom bunch....
How will this affect 94.5?
