What About Eric?

With all this talk about Barnes getting axed, Eric has taken a back seat. I work nights and am either not awake or just waking up in the house nowhere near the radio during the afternoon drive shift. But, the few times I was up and around, I tuned in and liked his show. He was friendly, personable, and knowledgable about the music. Has anybody talked with him, asked what his persuits (other than finding another gig) are, and his feelings towards him and Barnes being let go?

It was a classic case of double-talk spin. They fire Barnes because he wants to be a "personality." Yet, they lump Eric in with that reasoning, despite the fact that his show was less personality-driven then any afternoon rock show in town. And, they keep Mara -- who has more personality than any of them.

Poor guy probably didnt have much of a contract so he could be blown up at any time. I do agree that Dave will become something else by early 2007. Too bad, b/c I think its a great format.

Eric, or Shark as he will always be known to me, is a nice guy who wanted to stay in the market and even bought a house ITP. I hope he lands on his feet in a hockey friendly city. My guess is that he will move back up north.
