What about the trends?

Nice upward trend for those two stations. It goes to show you people alway find their way home, with the passing away of Jaye Michael over the summer, you can tell the city is emotionally connected to 'DIA. Plus compelling talk too!
Kix = about the best thing going for Citadel, keep it up! 'RBO might do better when the Grizz come back.. Kristy Lane's on-air departure has reflected in their numbers.
WRVR needs to really turn up the heat to end off the summer and have a good lead into the fall both in ratings and revenue.
WREC- had a good bump in numbers, haven't monitored them lately, so I can't comment beyond that.
 
WREC news/sports/weather/traffic is sounding really good....better than it ever has in it's newstalk life. Imaging and the whole package has gotten a lot better with Versnick in there. They also benefit from the popularity of Limbaugh and Hannity. If they could only teach Mike Fleming to speak the English language properly.....talk about your run-on sentences and poor syntax.......

Considering the content of Mike's program, proper use of the language would only serve to make it seem to make sense. For what he and the rest of those cretins are endorsing, frontier jibberish does nicely.
 
I get your point, and agree. There's no reason to legitimize it any more than it already is. Speaking of Frontier Jibberish, have you heard any recent speeches from the cuerrent occupant of the White House? ....sorry for the editorial. I'll jump down from my stump now.....
 
Versnick's a machine. A very talented and hard-working guy who gets things done.

I'm not surprised that WREC is sounding good.

Actually got to spend some time talking shop with the guy awhile back, and I was impressed.

The people above him in the hierarchy should give Steve all the money he needs, and all the freedom he deserves, and let him do his thing.

He's doing ok so far. He's added four market vets to the staff, three of which went to the morning show, the other to his news department. That station finally sounds like a large market news/talk outlet.

I do understand penny-pinching from the penny's viewpoint... and from the penny-pincher's, too.

They're sounding much bigger than in the recent past. I'm hoping the retooling isn't quite done yet, though.
