What air personality am I thinking of?

There was an air personality in New York who routinely ended his show by saying "Live every day as if it were your last because some day it will be." Who is that personality?

I was living in Central Jersey in the late 80s and think I heard him on Hot 97. After that station went hip-hop (or whatever), I think I heard this announcer on Mix 102.7 or 103.5 KTU.

Does anyone know if he continued to use that phrase after September 11?

Is he on the air now?

Thanks for your help. I'm out of the market now and unable to listen for myself.

...He would follow that with "I Love You Brown Eyes!"

Freddie Colon is his name. Most recently he was doing overnights (albeit Voictracked on 102.7 WNEW, from Arizona) where last I heard he resides.

Hope that helps! Truly a shame that his skills weren't utilized MORE!

Forgive me if I am mistaken on this one BUT I am 90% sure about it!

;)

Indeed, that was Freddie Colon. He is based out of Arizona these days, voice tracking in to NY and other markets as well. He was on the original 92 KTU, Jammin 105, WALK-FM on Long Island and I believe a Spanish station as well. A true New York radio legend. And by the way, he never revealed who "brown eyes" is.

Freddie Colon:
There are many a**holes in radio.
But very few large intestines. ;D

He did reveal it, but I missed his show that day. So I'll never know.
