What AM stations still play music?

KZHN 1250 Paris flipped to top 40 "the Zone" a couple of months ago -- "FM music on AM"...The last AM top 40 in Texas I'm aware of was KXYL 1240 "Kiss AM" Brownwood in the mid-90s. Otherwise, I think you have to go back to the mid-to-late '80s (KIKM, KSJL, KRGE) for the last AM top 40s in the state (not counting AM simucasts of FM stations).Chiphttp://users4.ev1.net/~chipk/ac/airchecks.html

Likely referring to KVLF 1240-am, rather than KVLP 101.5-fm.

Houston-1430 KCOH is still playing music. It has some talk, however it is about 70% R&B. No telling what it's future is, though. Recently sold for $10 million. As far as Houston is concerned, it's the last of the Mohicans. Its the last of the music stations and the last of the locally owned stations, as well.
