What are America One's strongest affiliates?

Maybe WAOH-LP 29 Akron/W35AX Cleveland "The CAT" when it ran A1? :D (It's now an RTV affiliate, one of two in the market.)

Will the madness ever end? I'd joke about what's next, but SOMEONE WILL START THE THREAD!!

A1 is basically the default "general entertainment" network for LPTVers.

It carries a variety of mostly low-budget shows, and was even the primary U.S. TV outlet for the Canadian Football League until this year.

Well, it was never KFLA-8 Los Angeles when they were affiliated with A1.
300 watts can only go so nowhere.

Windows Media Center put that station in my guide listings. No matter where I am in the LA area, I can't even get this station to come in.

IIRC they were complaining about the digital signal of KFMB/San Diego interferring with KFLA's cheap, LPTV digital signal. Why does it matter if no one can even get KFLA?

Am I reading right? Is KFLA-LD now the L.A. market RTV affiliate? (Along with various subchannels, of course.)

Yipes.

They have an app to go to 22 with 15 kW. Their website no longer mentions A1, so that's probably been gone a while.

America One has been on the air for quite some time. I first saw it as an unencrypted C-band sat service 10-15 years ago. It carried public domain fare for the most part back then.

According to the listings, you're correct. It used to be KHIZ 64, even though they were parttime. KHIZ doesn't cover the LA area as it's licensed to Barstow, and I don't get it in cable (it's on DirecTV though).

I did hear that KHIZ was an America One affiliate before though.

Further off topic, since you mentioned KHIZ/64...they're apparently still running that "local morning news" show for the Inland Empire produced in...Erie, PA, of all places.

That's a very old program schedule. The Erie show's been gone for a while now - it was already history when I was in Barstow in April, and the facility that produced it (WSEE) has been shut down for, what, two years now?

I suspect the strongest A1 affiliate to be WNWO 24-3.

Only a matter of time before we go religious with TBN or FamilyNet... yawn. No wait, don't! Noooo.

While the "facility" that produced the show at WSEE may be shut down, WSEE-35 has been the CBS affiliate in Erie back to the 1950's..
They actually serve as a de facto CBS affiliate for some Carribbean Islands, where WSEE weather staffers produce tailor-made weather forecasts for the Caribbean area in the WSEE studios...Complete with forecasters in Bright, casual summer clothing-As if they were there..Sort of weird to see..They also substitute travel videos for WSEE local Erie news and talk shows..

And yes, you and I were in that facility on Raychael's very last day, something that should have resonated with me when I linked that page. :D

WSEE is indeed still around, of course, and even still does the Caribbean weather feed - Scott and I watched it - but of course, they're in with WICU/12 now (where we saw this).

Tim, I think Scott is specifically talking about the "IE Live" studio/set. I don't know if WSEE even has a separate morning set for its own use anymore, or if they use the news set.

OMW:
I realize that's probably the case..Just that people might misread the sentence to take it that WSEE was shut down..

The "Caribbean feed" was opened for KU-Band Free to air Satellite for a few weeks last spring..Good to see a CBS affiliate in the clear like that if only for a short time..
