What Are Jocks Being Told?

Just curious as to what the DJs are being told about returning to work. We all know radio is advertising, and if there are few advertisers, how are stations going to pay on air talent? On another subject, do you think The End could update their website to at least mention the hurricane? I looked at it yesterday and there was nothing. Entercom and Clear Channel have revamped their sites. You would think Citadel would have done the same.

I am air talent for 106.7 and all I can say is that thus far Citadel is still taking care of it's staff...

Our site hasn't been updated yet, my guess is the person whose job it is is not near her computer or her computer (as far as I know) is still in the place St. Charles offices.... There is a way to update a few individual Jock Pages from remote sites but I do not know about the main pages.

As for many of us On Air Talent we are exploring our options. Only time will tell where many of us will land, if we will land.

My thoughts and prayers are with you guys. I read today where they are aiming to reopen the French Quarter within 90 days and a scaled down Mardi Gras is in the works for February as well.Tell you what,I cannot think of better New Years Eve celebration than to welcome back the French Quarter. Now THERE is an event for you guys to jump on...you would not even have to pay bands to play.I guarantee you they would do it for free.

I would not be at all suprised if there is a HUGE turnout for Mardi Gras this year, of people coming out to show support for NO.<P ID="signature">______________
