What Are NBC's Best Affiliates?

It's certainly not WTVJ, the NBC O&O serving the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market. Last I checked they were in 6th place...behind Univision O&O WLTV and Telemundo O&O WSCV (a sister station, no less).

To quote Hank Goldberg: Only in the Banana Republic, baby...only in Miami!

;D

WBIR in Knoxville was always the market leader back in the day, I believe. With NBC's recent woes, I don't know whether this still the case or not.

The question is now that WTVJ has their transmitter on the Dade Broward line how long before they make a comeback?

Isn't their a topic already like this called "What Are NBC's Strongest Affiliates?"

I'm waiting for the "What are ION's strongest affiliates" thread, myself. :D

I lost my ION/ former PAX to Telefutura, well they don't have 16 hours a day of informercials now.

WDIV "Local 4" Detroit, owned by Post-Newsweek. Even when Big Chin was on at 10PM, their 11PM newscast managed to stay #1 in the ratings by a mile.

WTMJ-4 in Milwaukee is another great example of an NBC affiliate with legs. They have common ownership with that market's daily newspaper as well as top-rated 620 WTMJ radio, the flagship of the Brewers and Packers.

How about....who can even find ION on their local cable lineup? I know I sure can't! ;D

Once again, it's a joke. ;)

A joke on all the "what are (a network's) strongest affiliates?" threads that have grown like weeds on this board...

KAIL My 7.1, KCOP 13.1, and Superstation WWOR MY9.

Oh, brother... heh.

At least there is some differentiation between My affiliates, in programming outside prime-time.

There is very little to distinguish ION's stations, most of which are O&O's. Around here, we had a local newscast aiming at part of the market, but that's even gone (with the end of the deal with Gannett).
