What are the sweeps stunts and stories in your market?
I only really noticed one so far in Philadelphia, when FOX 29 sent a hot female reporter behind the scenes with the Eagles cheerleaders on Sunday.

Here's one from my market that seems a little bit more repsectable: a newscast reunion. This coming Friday on WRAL-TV, the old Action News 5 anchor team of Charlie Gaddy, Bobbie Battista, Bob Debardelaben, and Tom Suiter will reunite on the same station to anchor the newscast and reminice about their careers.

I suspect that's part of the hype for WRAL's 50th anniversary,
which actually takes place December 15, because they've
been mentioning the 50th for most of 2006.

According to the station's website it is. And one wonders just why WTVD didn't do a thing like this on their 50th anniversary, much less put out some kind of retrospective.

Around here, it's a story about creepy people who hang out at the gym and a local edition of "Dancing with the Stars" which features 2 (count 'em!) contestants-a radio personality and one of the news anchors.
