Rob- Yuck.

Just my opinions..

Glad to see you coming around to my way of thinking. BTW...the Frankie J. may just be a hit. :) (the Natalie tanked though)

> Missy Elliott / Ciara- Lose Control

Stiff...Her worst single yet.

> 50 Cent / Mobb Deep- Outta Control (Remix)
> Ludacris / Bobby Valentino- Pimpin' All Over the World

Great night records.

I'd like to see more people on the Coldplay. Z100 is bangin the crap out of it.
Then again, I believe they also play "Clocks" as a recurrent. Great song...
If they made a 50 Cent or Fat Joe "remix", more CHRs would be all over it.

Really? It's rather hookless, wouldn't you say?

Compared to "Work It" or "Get UR Freak On" (or even "Pass That Dutch"--another stiff) it's pretty weak. The only thing it really has going for it is tempo.

Amen to that....Nice Dance Flavored Rhythmic tune. I hope to hear more of these.

I would have to disagree with that statement. I think Missy is a great Talented Female in the Hip Hop scene, something you dont see much of. I think (Get ur Freak on) was a Great song too, probably my second favorite of hers, next to loose control, Also (ONE MINUTE MAN) was another good one of hers.

"(the Natalie tanked though)"

It's not done yet.

You sure about that? It's down over 300 spins and slipped #31 to #35.

She's not only a one hit wonder, she's a bad interview.

Personally, I think the new Paul Anka is great.

That doesn't mean I'd add it.

Still apparantly testing well in several markets.

There is a such thing as a "regional hit", you know. National charts are a gauge, they certainly aren't neccesarily the end-all to a songs run in a given market.

Yeah, I know...I just don't think it's a priority for stations on the whole.

Yeah, late.

Hot! Lovin' this track!

It's above-average, and I'm still trying to figure this one out. I don't like it, but I don't hate it.

Gotta have this.

LOVE THIS SONG! The lyrics are as stupid as ever "Back then, they didn't want me. Now I'm out, they all over me.". But I'm going to buy the instrumental version of this CD because the beat is AWESOME!!!!!!!!

> Jessica Simpson - These Boots Are Made For Walkin'

Yuck, but I guess you can't stop it from becoming big.

> and we are spiking R. Kelly & Snoop Dogg's "Happy
> Summertime".

"Playa's Only" is the next single.

That's because it was a dumb move for a single. "Joy", "On & On", or even "Meltdown" would have done better.

Though I like "Lose Control", it's a poor attempt of a first single.

I suppose that would depend on the jock doing the interview... I had a solid interview with her, IMO. Listen to it here: www.kissfm927.com/aaron.html

On the Jess...I agree that it's a poor track (I sure wish she'd stop covering and come up with something original), BUT...as our 18 year old night girl said to me one day, "Who cares?! It's Jessica Simpson." Valid point...it'll probably be big because it's her, but definitely NOT because the track has quality.

We played "Playa's Only" for weeks (rhythmic competitor is bangin' it also), and haven't seen ANYTHING from it. No phones, no nothing. I get that it's the "next single" (record company garbage and propaganda), but "Happy Summertime" is a better fit for the time (uh, Summer), and hopefully will generate some response.

PJ

The Jessica Simpson probably won't get higher than 15, but...if you're a CHR, you should play it. It's an "Event"--big name, big movie, remake. It's a no-brainer, really. Will it callout? Probably not...But, it's a good call.

I really think more CHR's should be playing the Coldplay. It sounds GREAT on Z100. And millions of 18-34 year old females are buying the Coldplay CD. There is no bigger band in America or the world right now.
