So I am listening to Hot 95.1 in the shower this evening, and hear a sweep liner that says "Win an IPOD Nano from Hot 95-1. Go to HOT951.com for details.

So why would any radio station (or group) in their right mind center a promotion around an anti-radio device such as an MP3 player? CC runs HD radio ads once an hour on all their stations, why not give away HD radios?

How embarassing.
 
Thank God for Ipod nanos and Sirius/XM radio. Both these devices have given listeners the opportunity to escape the horrid music and talk programming of mainstream radio. I'm hoping that rather than looking at these devices as anti-radio, that PD's and owners will look at these devices as a challenge to produce better radio.
 
OK NM Radio....Please describe to me your idea of a winning radio station that will get ratings and make money.
