What do you like listening to on the radio?

What does everyone like listening to on the radio? Here's what I listen to providing I'm not work or watching something on TV or sleeping (Actually sometimes I do listen to it when I'm sleeping). I live in the Hartford, Connecticut Market.

6AM-10AM I don't have a favorite mornign show so I flip between Tom Chute and Bob Sagendorff on Oldies 1320 and Bob Muscutell on WMRD 1150. I also sometimes listen to Nancy Barrow and DJ Buck on Hot 93.7

10AM-12PM I usually listen to Dr. Joy Browne on WMRD at this time. But sometimes I listen to Debbie Nigro on WXCT 990 or hip-hop music on either Hot 93.7 or Power 104.

12PM-2PM. Hot 93.7 or Power 104.1

2PM-6PM Hot 93.7 or Oldies 1320. Power 104.1 airs Wendy Williams in this time slot. I can't stand her.

6PM-7PM Hot 93.7 or Power 104.1

7PM-10PM Clark Howard on WTIC 1080.

10PM-1AM Dream Doctor on WTIC 1080.

If I'm having trouble sleeping I try to listen to Joey Renyold's overnights but sometimes I can't get a signal from any of his affiliates and I just scan the dial.

That's too difficult to answer because I like a wide variety. Daytimes I could spend the whole day between KLOS and JACK Fm (by the way, I'm in L.A) or I could alternate between KSLX to KRTH to JACK to KBIG to KFI to KABC to KLVE to KROQ to 690 AM to KOLA in the space of an hour. It all depends on the mood I'm in. There's just too much on for me to have a set schedule. However, at night I can be pretty rigid. Usually it's Coast to Coast AM or John and Jeff on KLSX, depending on the topics and at the midnight hour, I'll usually end the night with Thump Radio on KBIG. I'll crash for the night and avoid Howard's live show at 3:00AM because I can catch the re broadcast when I wake up.
Saturday- Bill Handel - Handel on the Law on KFI morning. Never miss it. Daytime, much like the weekday, whatever gets my attention. Night time, alternate between Disco Saturday night on KBIG or Richard Blade's All 80's Saturday Night on KYSR and Coast to Coast AM.
Sunday- The Motorman with Leon Kaplan on KABC morning - never miss that one also. Daytime - almost no radio. Have to devote some time to the kids. Night time, Coast to Coast AM and/or Third Shift with John and Jeff on KLSX and the process starts all over.
If there was one station that I could listen to all day without getting tired it was KSUR 1260 AM Oldies. That was short lived followed by a couple of days of JACK-like programming to eventually Standards. I miss that one.

Balenced CHR (No rhythmic or rock lean. Just a nice balence like WZEE Madison)

Rock/Alternative leaning CHR (Like how WBBO Monmouth-Ocean was. Rare these days unlike back in the mid 90s)

Oldies (60s Based oldies. Nothing can beat great oldies.)

80s (Love 80s radio. WPOI in Tampa is probably one of the last examples of 80s based stations that aren't either rock or Jack)

Soft AC on AM (I have had a sick obsession with Soft AC on the AM dial since I was about 9.)

Gold AC (WTRV Grand Rapids. WDUV Tampa)

Alternative and Classic Alternative (This is becoming my favorite format again.)

Jockless/Automation (Most people would think I'm nuts, but I have developed an obsession with automation)

"All Request 90s Cafe" on 102.3 WXLC Waukegan

Java Joel on 102.3 WXLC Waukegan (This guy puts some humor into the station I grew up listening to.)

Megan Reed on 100.3 WILV Chicago (I grew up with her on crosstown WLIT)

Ken Southern on 100.3 WILV Chicago (same as Megan Reed)

104.7 WDDW Milwaukee (The only Spanish station I listen to. Regional Mexican)

Lenny Palmer on 1050 WLIP Kenosha. Great LOCAL Libertarian talk host on the local oldies station. Been listening to this guy for about 7 years.

I assume that you are in CT. You can not pull WOR in via dx?

There isn't much choice locally in my area since I live in market number 248, but a lot of stations come in from NYC, the Hudson Valley of New York, some Lehigh Valley, PA stations, and depending on where you are, some Northeast PA stations.

For about 5 or 10 minutes after 6AM in the morning, I listen to the local AC station 102.3 WSUS, mainly for traffic and weather info, and a little music.

Between 2:30pm and about 9:00pm throughout the evening, I listen to WSUS (AC), WNNJ FM (Classic Rock), WPDH 101.5 from Poughkeepsie, NY (Classic Rock), K104 from Poughkeepie (CHR), WCZX/WZAD Mix 97 from HV, NY (AC), WGNY FM/WTSX Fox 96.7/Fox 103.1 (weird mix of AC, Hot AC, oldies, and classic hits!), 99.9 WODE "The Hawk" from Easton, PA (Classic Hits), 102.7 WNEW from NYC Mix 102.7 (Classic Dance), 95.5 WPLJ (Hot AC), 106.7 Lite FM NYC, and Z100 from NYC.

I'll be giving "Free FM" a try this January. I really never payed attention to talk radio (not in the target demo).
______________

I usually just put it on one station and leave it, unless there is a good DX opening

my usuals are:
WNRQ 105.9 nashville TN
WSKZ 106.5 Chattanooga TN
WVNA 105.5 Muscle Shoals AL (night only due to a local daytimer on 105.5)
WZRR 99.5 Birmingham AL
WMXN 101.7 Stevenson AL
WRTT 95.1 Huntsville AL
WBPT 106.9 Birmingham AL (after their flip from 80s to classic hits)

I avoid my local classic rocker (WTAK 106.1) at all costs

if nothing is coming in good or i'm at work, i will crank up an online station
WBPT, WRFX, WHTQ, KRFX, or KGB usually
______________

Yep I'm in CT. Some nights WOR is listenable. Other nights forget about it. The same goes for KB1520, his 50KW affiliate in Buffalo. Some nights its listenable other nights not at all. And 95% of the time the stations that make up the WDRC(AM) Quadcast are not listenable at night. On a rare occasion if WMRD out of Middletown forgets to power down I can pick them up quite well.
