So far I think OGL-HD-2 is doing a better job musically, playing Christmas music then BEB-HD-2 but its nice to have two 24/7 Christmas stations this early even though they are on HD-2...Maybe NUW-HD-2 will do the same, with the format they had last year on their main channel, which was the best in the universe....

Long time observer, first time poster! Anyway, I'm enjoying both stations so far.  B101 seems to have more modern stuff while 98.1 seems to be sticking with more of the classics.  I still long for the days of Sunny, which is why I'm excited about being able to enjoy Holly on XM this year.  It'll be interesting to see who jumps into the mix when it comes to terrestrial radio...I hope someone will "step into Christmas" on 10/31 or 11/1 like NOW 97.5 did last year.

Do you have any idea when Holly will premier...I know XM has many other holiday channels as they get closer. I have both XM and Sirius and I noticed last year XM had more channels for the holiday, Sirius only simulcasted Holly which is a great format close to the old Sunny and last years 97.5...

A quick search of the sirius website shows nothing for Holly yet. I don't think they have anything to lose by starting after Halloween.

Which of the two feeds am I enjoying? NEITHER

It's WAY TOO EARLY to be thinking about Christmas music, in spite of what retailers would like you to believe.

Check back around November 15.

Why are people so grouchy on here? I could care less what retailers have to say. I listen to Christmas music in October because I enjoy it. Obviously others do too. I'm glad I don't have to abide by all the "laws" that seem to be set forth on forums such as these - Heck, if I did, I wouldn't be able to enjoy XM radio, HD radio, or pretty much anything else for that matter! I guess I'd be forced to listen to old WIBG airchecks all day long... ;)

Hopefully soon! This is my first year with XM (I got it for Christmas last year), and I'm really looking forward to checking out what they have to offer. I hear it is very similar to the Sunny playlist!

It's not a matter of being grouchy. It's a matter of trying to "STOP THE MADNESS."

I get all Christmas All The Time from Thanksgiving on.

Is it too much to ask that we can enjoy Halloween first? I'm waiting..is this the year someone comes to my house in a "Santa" costume? Get ready for coal.....OR WORSE.

Let's get back to the day where we keep our holidays straight. Halloween---Thanksgiving--Christmas--New Years--Valentines Day---St Pattys Day----Easter, etc....

You will love XM...... Holly is almost exact to Sunny and then they add Classic Christmas, Country Christmas, Country Classic Christmas, Classical Christmas, and even a
Hanukkah channel its fantastic...but believe it of not I did not listen to Satellite that much last year because 97.5 was the best of them all......

OK - Will anyone be switching to all Halloween soon? 24 hours of Monster Mash, some Gwar, and all things Alice Cooper and White Zombie/Rob Zombie. Then for Thanksgiving we can get an Alice's Restaurant & Adam Sandler's "Thanksgiving Song" marathon.

On a serious note, this topic comes up this time of year only because some stations across the country switch over this time of year. I enjoy Christmas Music, but I keep it packed away at my house until Thanksgiving weeekend. I also keep my Christmas movies and the kids Christmas movies away until the same time. It gives us something to look forward to each year. Like or not, some stations across the country will be playing Christmas songs non-stop sooner than later, maybe even a local station or two.

Music Choice Sounds of the Season channel (433), has been playing Halloween Music since October 1st, after the 31st they will be all Christmas.....
