What do you think of the line-up for 92.9

Surprised no one has discussed the line up for (dave fm) 92.9 sports station when it
kicks off. I would have thought they would have gone with more home grown people.
Discuss?

Didn't Randy Cross during the early days of either 680 the Fan or 790 the Zone be part of a local morning show on one of those stations? Really not much to be excited about lineup wise. Would rather stick with the current sports talkers. Anybody surprised Toucher & Rich wasn't brought back in town? Add in Crash Clark & maybe something to build off of in the mornings.

It seems like it would be interesting. I like CJ whom will be on the morning show, so I might give it a listen.

Rashan Ali would've been great too!

Yeah, it would have. I would love to see them all brought back for 92.9. CBS could afford to have them.

1. No, but Jamie Dukes used to.

2. I don't know - you think ATL would like to hear syndicated sports talk out of Boston (where T&R are now based)?

Randy Cross was on 790 before it was The Zone. It was a brokered deal and Steak was on there for a little bit after he was let go at the Fan and before he took it over and made it the Zone. Another on air personality who I think also was named Randy was the one buying the time on the station. Steak has told a few stories in the past abut all the strip club remotes they did.

I also think Randy did a sports talk show for a while at night on 640, maybe with Snake Davis? I always liked him talking sports but how he meshes with the rest of that crew is a different story.

Rearding T & R, not surprised but was kind of hoping something would happen but why wreck a good thing they have going there and a simulcast into the Atlanta market wouldn;t work. Who knows they still might make it down here one day.

Randy Blake, a former 680 morning guy, was the other Randy on 790 back in those days.

Randy Cross was on 640 at night for a while. I don't remember him having a partner on the show, but it's certainly possible that he did at some point. I just remember Cross doing a solo show.

Jabba is actually correct. Randy Cross did mornings on 790 before it was The Zone. The station was brokered at the time. It was around 1994 or 1995. He also did evenings on WGST in more recent years.
