This could be nothing but a smokescreen...

If they do go in a Jammin Oldies direction, I hope it is more Urban Gold and less Dance Pop based than what it is on in Cincinnati, however, it is worth noting that since the flip from Urban AC, WMOJ is trending up and is currently rated 7th in the market (June 2011 ratings).

A more popish JO direction like WMOJ might also take a few listeners from top-rated KLUV.

If it was to go Jammin' Oldies,
I want it to be like Smokin' Oldies 1160 was.

now that was a cool station. I had liked Mighty 1190, but 1160 was smokin!

Anything can happen but I doubt Radio One will flip completely to a different format. It sounds more like a tweak/adjustment will occur to the current format.

My guess is 94.5 will be a mix of Old School & Uptempo beats to increase a broader listening audience. Artist such as C&C Music Factory, Shannon, Pebbles, Madonna, etc.

Similar but I wouldn't be too surprise to hear some current stuff either.

Yeah, doesn't sound like a very smart move. I'm seeing alot more stations going more current, like Kiss 104.1 Atlanta. I heard their numbers were improving. I sure won't be listening to this new, well old format.
