What do you think you could get if you were...

For 760 in Key West, I'm thinking WEFL if anything daytime but possibly with some slight slop from WWCN 770 depending on receiver. At night, probably a mix of WEFL, WJR, XEZZ/Guadalajara, Jalisco, XEABC/Mexico City (at times) and HJAJ from Barranquilla, Colombia. Are there any Cubans on 760?

Below is a link showing most of the stations using 760 kHz in/near the lower 48 US states, and the patterns they radiate in the horizontal plane. These patterns do not include the effects of earth conductivity, and do not show the nighttime skywave signal contours that may be provided.

Color code:

Red = Unlimited
Green = Daytime
Black = Nighttime
Purple = Critical Hours

I'm thinking 1130 in Churchill would be a mix of WDFN, WISN, KTCN, WBBR, and maybe even CKWX.

Next one:
1070 kHz in Lincoln, NE
Day: KLIO, KHMO, KILR, and/or WVKK
Night: Those four with the possible addition of KNX

For many years, I had a major ad agency client in Lincoln. Daytime wasn't much of anything...maybe (then-) KFDI. At night, KNX was usually top dog. This was in the mid-80s and 90s.

(BTW, the ad agency? Their most famous client...but not their biggest, and not mine....was Cliff's notes!)

Probably a mess between W235BN/Grand Rapids, MI, WMMQ/Lansing, MI, WKZC/Scottville, MI, WSJM/Benton Harbor, MI. Also WOLX/Barabo, WI would be common. You'd need a good directional antenna to separate them but you'd still have W235BN and WMMQ in pretty much the same bearing from Muskegon.

I was driving through the Muskegon area on Friday and I was getting mostly WMMQ, with an occasional WOLX. I was getting W235BN around Nunica. WMMQ was still dominant on 94.9 as far north as Rothbury. WKZC is one of the worst underperformers I can think of on FM. For 17kW from between Ludington and Manistee, you'd think they would make it to Muskegon. And I haven't seen an STA for low power operations.

Surprisingly, on 101.7 in Elyria, OH, although WHOF is usually the dominant signal, it's not uncommon to hear CKNX/Wingham, ON and WNKO/New Albany, OH (Columbus market). WMVL usually only shows up if there's tropo enhancement from that direction.

New one:

1600 kHz in Salina, KS

I'm guessing it would be a weak KRFS/Superior, NE during the day and a jumble of stations at night. On wider receivers, add in some splatter from KVGB 1590

I'd say KRFS, with MAYBE KMDO-KS on a good day.

At night, mix of stations including KGYM-IA, KEPN-CO, KATZ-MO, maybe KRVA-TX.

ok, how about any frequency at the south pole, not including any transmitters based on Antarctica. And what about any frequency below 1000 kHz daytime anywhere on an Antarctic "beach" (saltwater path)?

I live 35 miles south of Salina, and have never been able to pick up KRFS. They run 500 watts day/44 watts night on a short tower. At night I have been able to pick up 1600 out of St. Louis on a few rare occasions.

Ok, here's one that hopefully doesn't break the rules, 104.3 fm in Chehalis, WA prior to KMNT building that stick they've got now.
