What do you think you could get if you were...

New one:

1040 kHz in Bar Harbor, ME

I think it would be nothing during the day. Critical hours maybe WYSL/Avon, NY and a jumble at night with WBZ's I-BLOCK to contend with. Maybe WHO on nights of great E/W DX.

Night would be CJMS 1040 St. Constant Quebec.

New one, 103.1 fm in Eugene, OR. This is a weird one as the station I pick up on Global Tuners is listed nowhere on radio locator, but has a signal as strong as a local.

I was in Eugene several years ago and didn't recall hearing anything there. If there were any 103.1, it could be KRSB-FM Roseburg, OR. I think the hills and mountains south of Eugene would block KRSB's signal most of the time. Haven't check Global Tuners recently as I had problems trying to hear Eugene on it.

K276IH or K276BU? KRSB is a 3kW Class A blocked by mountains. The two translators have a more favorable path to Eugene.

OR does K275AA Eugene spill over onto 103.1??

I heard K276BU Corvallis on that Eugene receiver.

K276BU is an NPR translator, right? Seems odd that a translator 40 miles away could be clear as a local. Oddly, all I've heard on 102.9 from that receiver is KNBQ, no sign of the translator at all. Have they shut it down?

This one should be a little more challenging:
103.5 MHz in Owen Sound, ON, Canada

CIDC from Orangeville, ON with a rather scratchy signal probably
I didn't realize how wide Lake Huron is in that area. I was thinking CIDC regularly, with WTCM and WMUZ coming in occasionally.

New one: 100.5 MHz in Manistee, MI

I'll give you a hint on 100.5 in Manistee, MI: It's one of the emptiest frequencies there.

Probably depends on day to day conditions. WTRV/Walker, MI probably shows up here and there. W236BQ probably shows up easily with cross-lake enhancement. CHAS probably shows up once in a while too.

I'm going to add my own...

96.9 in Othello, WA

The answer: None of them! If anything, I get WDTX Rothschild, WI (Wausau area) with ESPN Radio. W263BQ has showed up a couple of times, but not as often as 96.1 W241AG. WEEH-LP Hart has come in once in a while, as well as WTRV and WTLX Monona, WI. I've never gotten CHAS, but I was trying on Monday, when there was good tropo coming from that area (I did manage to snag 95.3 WWSS and 90.9 WTCK, along with 104.3 CJQM (again))

96.9 in Othello should be a weak KEZE if anything, that is if KXRX doesn't put out much splatter. The other possibility is KGY-FM, but given the terrain I doubt they'd make it there. Here's a challenging one, a month or so ago there was a huge E-skip opening to Nebraska among other places that brought in KQCH to this area. If you were in the Francis area or somewhere down there that day, could you get KQCH or would KMPS be too strong?

KXRX is over 70 miles from Othello

I suppose, if E-skip was very strong. 6/25 we had a big E-skip opening that wiped out Click 98.9's IBOC splatter (which was about 25dbu). KOUT Rapid City popped up like a local on 98.7 overpowering the IBOC hash.

New one: 106.3 MHz in Zion, IL

Assuming that W292DJ is running on their CP of 250W @ 381ft. then it's probably that with a fuzzy signal. Otherwise probably alternating WSRB/Lansing, IL and WYRB/Genoa, IL both weak signals.
