What Does A Former PBS Station's Schedule Look Like?

Here's a sneak preview of what Los Angeles' KCET's schedule will look like once they cut ties with PBS next week:

They're scheduled to air "Dances With Wolves" Sunday night and once again Monday morning.

Compare to their schedule this week (note a couple of "to be announced" timeslots on January 1):

Also, here's a story about KCET's restructuring in the wake of their disassociation with PBS:

...H.R. Pufnstuf?!!? Lidsville?!!? Makes me wonder if they'll pick up 3rd-run repeats of Elvira's Movie Macabre after KDOC and ThisTV are done with them...

I see they're keeping a lot of programs that are distributed by American Public Television. So certain shows will remain in their lineup. It'll be interesting to see if cutting ties with PBS will work in their favor. I wonder what childrens' shows will replace the ones that have been carried by PBS. According to my post, less than 4 hours to go bwefore KCET drops PBS to go independent.

I'm tired of seeing the the lazy listing for my local PBS "CPTV" on saturday nights saying Saturday Night Performance/Red Carpet Specials. That means nothing to me.I instead tune in WNET ch 13.

KCET has picked up at least two series from Canada's CBC - The Nature of Things with David Suzuki, and the kids' show Busytown Mysteries (which also airs as part of Cookie Jar programming on CBS).
