I didn't watch the channel as OLN and I won't watch it as Versus.

Why not it beat espn.
I switched to Verizon Fios recently and lost OLN. I haven't missed it yet. I'm sure I will with the hockey season starting, but I get plenty of games anyway.
most likely fishing and pbr will either head to "The outdoor Channel" (digital cable pkg) or as an occasional fill in on one of the ESPNs...
Personally, I love college football. one more channel picking up a game, works for me.
The NHL is banking that Versus will become the U S destination for the them that the league has never had.

I think the name change isn't going to do anything for the channel.
Hockey was killed by the labor problems, so there are less fans and the rest of the stuff they show isn't even worth watching!

Hockey took a huge hit with the strike..but they are making a comeback..and now they have the one thing they didnt have before the strike....A national cable network that wont start bumping games to other channels for other sports...
Most of the hardcore fans came back, and now its just a matter of time before the casual fans take notice...especially if the NFL keeps sucking like it has the first month......the biggest "story" has been whatever T.O. has been doing today...the games have been mediocre, and the league is bordering on overexposure and hype.
