What episode did "The Simpsons" air October 20?

And did "Bob's Burgers" air as usual?

I was distresed to turn on my TiVo at 9 after watching my ABC shows and not see any Animation Domination programs. I do record the first hour regardless of what is on, as a precaution, since the two time slots are subject to changes that I might not otherwise know about.

At 7, "Bob's Burgers" aired, so that would have been no problem. The 200th episode celebration of "Family Guy" was rerun for the umpteenth time at 7:30.

I set the TiVo to record the baseball playoff game that was still shown in the listings. I got most of a "Family Guy" episode I had seen and all of an "American Dad" I had seen.

Don't know the episode's name, but The Simpsons episode was the one where Milhouse pretends to be his father.

It was a repeat whatever it was.

Fox had the night set aside for game 7 of the ALCS (which wasn't needed as Boston won it in 6 games), so they just threw on some reruns that the had in reserve.

They'll never put new episodes of any show on without advertising it first.

They have 7 nights set aside for the World Series. If 7 games aren't needed, Fox will throw on some reruns on the nights that would have been for games 5, 6, and 7.

But they are holding off on showing new episodes until after the World Series is completed.

I have Verizon FiOS and DirecTv. (I have DirecTv for Sunday Ticket& MLB Extra Innings with the family package). Neither of them were able to get the guide correct. They both had game 7. The FiOS guide did say that there was alternate programming if the baseball game wasn't on. My girlfriend, down the street from me has Comcast Xfinity at her house. Xfinity was able to update their guide to show the Fox cartoons instead of the baseball game.

I switched from Comcast to Verizon almost 3 years ago because Verizon would give me a better price on a triple play and errors in the guide have been a problem ever since. The problem is lees frequent than it was 3 years ago and they seem to be aware of the problem. They have wrong shows listed, no description of an episode so that the DVR thinks they are new and records them. In all the years I had Comcast, this was never a problem and DirecTv is really good about keeping their guide updated but not Verizon.
