What Ever Happened to Dave Michaels

This enquirering mind would like to know what ever happened to Dave Michaels is he still on the radio somewhere. Dave and I did classic car cruise-in's here in Cincinnati when he was on WSAI but after they stopped playing music I have lost touch with him. I know he did a small stint with WGRR some time back.

He worked Part Time ( Weekends & wherever they needed him at WGRR when
they were Oldies from the 50's-60's etc. ) Hired by Chuck Finney - Cindy Patrick
was the PD at the time; he left briefly and was hired back by Peter Z to also do
weekends and fill ins.... Years were 1997 thru 2002....WGRR was in the 2d floor
bldg. of a small shopping center and than they moved to the Reading Road site.
This Bldg. had Q-102 and GRR and some FM automated station in it, and you
needed a ID-Badge to get to the bathroom and around the studios - a real pain
in the butt !!!! Chuck Finney left , and the place went to hell in a hand basket
with CBS radio and their BS......( one mans opinion ! )..... If you want some great
stories about WGRR ----- talk to Jim LaBarbra or JC McCoy...... LOL
If you want Daves' E-mail address ---- I have it ..... he is presently doing Radio
from The Planet Nemo ( Leo Underhills basement ) ......

Last time I hard him on the air he was doing afternoons at a station in Columbus, Indiana (I think) in the 1980s.

YES!

(with the exception of Dave using that "loveable, huggalble" line in his air name as he did back when WTUE still played "solid rock " Top 40.)

There's a "Dave Michaels" on one of the satellite formats (ABC Oldies Radio?), but the Dave Michaels (not his real name...I saw the WCSI transmitter log) of WCSI/WTUE/WOXR/WWWY/WSAI/WGRR, etc fame is one in the same person. Some say he was a puker...but I liked listening to him. He was great to listeners on the phone as well...I was one of those listeners in my high school days.

I first heard him on the original oldies incarnation of 1360 WSAI. Later I purchased tape from an aircheck service featuring his work on WTUE. He'd be great on WDJO.
